  莲藕,又名莲菜,是睡莲科植物,因为含铁量很高,并且不论生熟,都有很高的药用价值,故民间有“荷莲一身宝,秋藕最补人”的说法。

  莲菜富有营养,以100克莲菜为例,含有水分78克,蛋白质1克,粗纤维0.5克,铁0.5毫克,而脂肪仅为0.1克,并且由于秋冬季节正是莲藕收获的旺季,并且价格也相对便宜,老人小孩都可以多多食用。
