Steps to make Zongzi with pitaya
- 1. Put the leaves of Zongzi into hot water to change color, pick them up and wash them, and cut off the front part with scissors
- 2. Peel and dice the red dragon fruit for later use
- 3. Soak glutinous rice in cold water for 4-5 hours, wash and drain the water. Add a little white sugar and olive oil to mix evenly and set aside (white sugar can be adjusted according to personal taste)
- 4. Roll the zongzi leaves into a funnel shape and add a little sticky rice
- 5. Add the cut dragon fruit
- 6. Add a handful of glutinous rice and cover it with dragon fruit
- 7. Fold the zongzi leaves in one direction by hand, cover the glutinous rice, and fold them back to form a triangular shape
- 8. Bundle firmly with cotton rope
- 9. In this way, wrap the glutinous rice in sequence
- 10. Put Zongzi into the voltage cooker and add water to cover Zongzi
