Steps to make Butterfly Steamed dumplings
- 1. First, add boiling water to the flour, stir it with chopsticks, and when the hands are warm, mix the flour,
- 2. After kneading into a ball, place it in a basin, cover it with a lid, and let it stand out for about 40 minutes,
- 3. Take out the dough, knead it smooth, then make a hole in the middle and knead the dough into a circular ring as shown in the picture,
- 4. Separate the circular ring and start kneading it with your hands from the middle to both sides, kneading it into evenly thick and thin strips,
- 5. Pinch the dough into evenly sized pieces by hand, sprinkle with dry flour to prevent sticking,
- 6. First, press the dough into a round cake, and then use a rolling pin to roll it into a disc,
- 7. As shown in the picture, turn the rolled out dumpling skin upside down and fold it well,
- 8. Flip it over again and wrap the dumpling filling in the middle,
- 9. Flip the tip towards the curved edge and pinch it tightly against the straight edge,
- 10. Pinch the curved edge together with the tip as shown in the picture,
- 11. Pinch the edges together as shown in the picture, use your hands to create a pleated lace, and then open the flipped part to form a beautiful butterfly.
- 12. Steam in a pot over high heat, about 15 minutes after boiling,
