Yam and Strawberry Blessings

I abandoned the traditional glutinous rice balls used by Da Fu to wrap strawberries, and this time I used yam and pumpkin puree, with the outer layer dipped in fragrant coconut. Yam can invigorate the spleen, benefit the stomach, and aid digestion. Pumpkin can enhance the baby's immune system and prevent constipation. Strawberries, known as the "queen of fruits," contain a large amount of various nutrients such as vitamin C and carotenoids, which have an important impact on the development of a baby's brain and intelligence.

Steps to make Yam and Strawberry Blessings
- 1. Peel and cut yam into pieces.
- 2. Peel the pumpkin and cut it into pieces.
- 3. Put it into a steamer and steam for about 15 minutes until fully cooked.
- 4. Do not remove the roots of strawberries. Rinse them with clean water and soak them in diluted salt water for 5 minutes. At this time, most pesticides can be dissolved with water.
- 5. Take out the ripe yam and pumpkin, pour them into a bowl and mash them. (I also added some sugar. Babies under one year old can choose not to add sugar.)
- 6. Remove the leaves from the strawberries, dry them with kitchen paper, and cut off the roots for later use.
- 7. Take an appropriate amount of pumpkin yam puree, knead it into a ball, and flatten it.
- 8. Place the strawberry with its tip facing upwards and slowly wrap it in pumpkin yam puree using the tiger's mouth position.
- After that, put it in a small plate filled with coconut and roll it around.
- 10. Done, cut into two halves and put them into a plate, which can be used for the baby to enjoy.
